In a recent development, the syllabus for IIT Entrance – JEE Advanced 2023 has been revised. The syllabus for all three subjects, Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, has been revised. Joint Admissions Body (JAB) made the revised syllabus for the Advanced exam available on its official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

As per the experts, the new syllabus includes more chapters in JEE Advanced. Additionally, that would be in alignment with the JEE Main 2023. We all are aware that lakhs of students attempt the JEE Main exam every year to qualify for the Advanced exam. Only the top 2.5 lakh students who crack JEE Main are eligible to take the advanced exam.

Revised Syllabus for JEE Advanced 2023 subject-wise

Let us look at the revised Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics syllabus for JEE Advanced 2023.

Physics: The revised Physics syllabus includes adding and eliminating a few topics.

Below is the list of the topics added.

• General Physics
• Mechanics
• Thermal Physics
• Electromagnetic waves
• Optics

The list of topics excluded is as below.

• Semiconductors
• Communications

Chemistry: Revised Chemistry syllabus includes adding a few chapters. Below is the list of the topics added.

States of Matter:

• Gases and Liquids
• Chemical Bonding
• Atomic Structure
• Molecular Structure

Mathematics: Revised Mathematics syllabus includes adding and eliminating a few topics.

Below is the list of the topics added.

• Statistics

The list of topics excluded is as below.

The revised syllabus for JEE Advanced 2023 has been aligned with JEE Main and CBSE. Students focusing only on JEE Advanced will now have to cover these new topics previously not in the syllabus.
